Irish Draught Horse Stallion Hang On Johnny.
Hang On Johnny was born in Ireland and is sired by Powerswood Purple who is by the great sire Ben Purple. His dam is Mary Jane III. It is important to note that Johnny does NOT carry any bloodlines with Errigal or Milestone in it (not related to the BIG THREE) so is an important outcross for purebred Irish Draught mares.
Hang on Johnny was approved by the Irish Horse Board, then was sold to Great Britain (Wales) where he was approved also. In 1999 he was imported to the United States where he was again approved, this time with the Irish Draught Horse Society of North America.
Johnny has enjoyed a successful career in eventing and show jumping both in Europe and in the United States. He has been ridden by youth and amateur riders and has joined the hunt in Galena, IL with an amateur as well. His eldest offspring, primarily in Europe, have started their careers in the competition world of eventing, show jumping and dressage with great results. This stallion is consistently producing offspring that are of the highest calibre, including an approved son standing in Great Britain.
Johnny has an absolutely fabulous disposition, he is kind and generous, yet has an awesome presence when seen in person. His long flowing forelock and large lovely eyes draw you to his handsome face with his incredible long and upright neck. He is very sound with fabulous feet and legs.
This stallion has the type of conformation that exudes the ability to perform well.
Johnny stands 16.3 hands and has 10" bone and is a wonderful choice for the owner of RID mares as well as a great opportunity to add some "Irish" to outcross mares as well. If you would like offspring with presence, athletic ability and the desire to please, Johnny is the right choice for you.

If on site a.i. then the first collection is included.
We offer a live foal guarantee and we utilize the services of a certified veterinarian to collect our stallions. Johnny was recently tested for a week at a stallion station and was found to have a very high semen count.
