Rigel "Zena" is a 16.3 hand Hanoverian mare. Zena is a beautiful mare, with a great topline and lovely movement. She has a daughter winning in Grand Prix dressage, a daughter winning Grand Prix Show Jumping, a daughter succesfully showing Baby Green Hunters and a son showing succesfully in the Hunter Ring. 

 

Zena comes from the same mareline as Blue Hors Farrell, Blue Hors Future Cup, Scara Boa, Rosentanz, Woodlander Supertramp and Winyamaro. 

 

Zena's maternal half sister, Elite Mare Fabulous was a winner up to 1.40m, was a competitive Grand Prix horse and  was the winner of the 2013 Upperville Horse Show Broodmares.

 

Zena's sire, Ramiro's Bube. With an index of 128.54 reached Ramiro's Bube 's excellent 4th place in dressage at the HLP in Medingen . After that, he was employed with success in show jumping up to Category I , before he began his career as a dressage horse . 1996 Champion Stallion in Avenches . In 1997 , under the saddle of his new owner Christine Stückelberger , Ramiro's Bube has been successful in dressage at level M ( 1 win and 2 times 2nd place ). In 1998 he won in Cat. S and in 1999 was classified at level St. Georges . In 2000 he was with Sébastien Poirier 5th when I Intermédiaire in Bern , 11.im GP in Wermatswil and classified in the CDI *** in Ebreichsdorf ( AUT ) . Ramiro's Bube started his career as a breeding stallion in Germany . He was recognized in 1996 in Switzerland, where in 1997 his first foals are born. He's a full type, large-framed stallion with plenty of oomph and elegance ; very correct conformation, convincing basic gaits with optimum power development from the hind quarters . Double talent for dressage and jumping .

 

Zena's damsire, Wanderer is one of the great Hanoverian sires and is renowned for producing horses with outstanding jumping talent, as well as elastic movements. The bay stallion descends from famous bloodlines (Wendekreis, Gotthard, Absatz) which are a special guarantee for performance ability. A large number of approved sons--six of them are Celle State stallions-- attest to his impressive ability to reproduce quality. Wanderer's daughter Welina was the Vice Champion Mare at the Ratje-Niebuhr Show 2000. Wanderer sires fantastic foals when bred to Thoroughbred mares. They are very elegant and modern and he really puts the movement and jumping ability on them.
