Danella is a 16.2 hand, black imported Hanoverian mare. Danella is a sweet mare with a lovely head and neck. She has wonderful dressage quality movement. Her trot is elastic and shows wonderful suspension. Her offspring have great temperaments and rideability. She was bred in Germany by Herbert Kruse who has bred numerous Bundeschampionat participants and a large number of horses, which are successfully used worldwide to Grand Prix. Danella's offspring's achievements include Regional Champions, Elite Mare status, high scoring horse at AHS inspection, AHS Awards and winning classes up to 3rd level.
Danella's niece, Samba Piratin produced Dr. Bonsai who won the colt show and was Reserve Champion foal at the Elite Foal Championships. She also produced Dancing Milky who received a perfect 10.0 for movement and was the winning foal.
Danella's sire, De Niro was an extremely popular sire in Germany due to his outstanding movement, extremely high ‘rideability’ and beautiful type. De Niro was Reserve Champion of the 1996 Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf scoring 9s in all three gaits and was awarded the highest scores for ‘rideability’ (9.67).
De Niro was the #1 Dressage sire in the world for 2016! He was the sire of 10 horses at the 2016 Rio Olympics including team gold, Desperados FRH.
At 7 years old De Niro was already succeeding at Grand Prix level. In 2001 he was Champion Dressage horse at the German Championship for Professional Riders. In 2002 he was the winner of the international Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special tests in Saumur and Berlin, and in 2003 he was the winner of the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg.
De Niro’s sire, Donnerhall held the highest dressage breeding value index of all stallions. He was placed second among 70 stallions at his performance test and went on to become DLG Champion in 1986. De Niro has already produced more than 45 approved sons. In addition to 2 vice-champion stallions, De Niro also produced Dancier, the champion stallion at the stallion licensing in Verden.
